Artist Statement

Away from the cutting edge, the crowd surge. Fragments left alongside the pathways, washed up on the shore.
The story forms after the parade, or party, or battle, or spell has been cast.
Pick up the pieces, dig things up. Put them together. Tell a forgotten story.
The world moves at a dizzying pace, intriguing pieces get left behind. It’s illuminating to pause and examine them.

Making art is liberating and allows direct expression of thought and emotion.
I feel most confident communicating through visual art.
Making art is the best way I know how to share with others.
